BLACKPINK’s Lisa Sets Guinness World Record with Song “Money”

BLACKPINK’s Lisa is making pop history once again! She has just set another Guinness World Record, and this time it’s for becoming the first K-pop artist to reach a billion streams on Spotify with a solo song.

The organisation announced the news on September 27 after the music streaming platform revealed Lisa’s song “Money” had officially joined their “Billions Club” playlist. (Yep, there are other K-pop songs on the list, including BTS’ “Butter”, however they’re all performed by groups!)

The song which was released as the second track from her 2021 solo EP Lalisa, hit the impressive benchmark on September 21.

This marks Lisa’s fourth Guinness World Record this year, plus she’s broken a bunch of records through her band too!
