Celebrities React to Their 2021 Emmy Nominations

The 2021 Emmy nominations are out and that means laughter, happy dances and sometimes even tears from those who are being acknowledged for their hard work.

This year, it’s all about The Crown and The Mandalorian. And a little about Bridgerton too.

The first two received a whopping 24 nominations each, dominating the drama category, Disney+ series WandaVision scored 23 nods, Apple TV+ comedy Ted Lasso landed an impressive 20 nominations for its debut season while Bridgerton received 12 nominations including one for the delightful voice-over of Lady Whistledown, Julie Andrews, and another for the Duke of Hastings himself, Regé-Jean Page for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

“It’s a joy to be seen,” he shared in an Instagram post along with a photo of himself smiling away.

She’s up against Allison Janney, Aidy Bryant, Jean Smart and Tracee Ellis Ross who may’ve had the greatest reaction of all:

“OH MY GODDDDD!” she screams in a video shared on Instagram.

“I was at the gym, I didn’t even know the nominations were today. I had no idea,” Tracee laughs before exclaiming “THAT’S RIDICULOUS!”

Kate Winslet, Anya Taylor-Joy and Elizabeth Olsen are among the women up for Best Actress in a Limited Series.

Oh, and let’s not forget our favourite Friends who are nominated for four Emmys including one for Courteney Cox who served as executive producer on the recent reunion special.

“The one where we are incredibly grateful to the Academy for this honour,” Courteney captions a selfie of the gang.

The Awards are due to be held in September.
