Courteney Cox has officially cemented her name in showbiz history!
The beloved actor has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, surrounded by her loved ones including fellow actor Laura Dern and her Friends co-stars and besties, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow.
“Everyone thinks I got my start as the girl who danced with Bruce Springsteen on stage, but my real start came when … I was chosen at 12 to be Anna in the ‘King & I’ at Camp Mac,” Courteney said to the crowd.
“After playing Anna, I did have a pretty big career lull,” she joked, “but since then I have been blessed to be a part of some very long-standing projects. I’ve been lucky to work with the best people in this business.”
She goes on to name the creators of Friends, Wes Craven who’s behind the Scream franchise and more before thanking her sisters, Dottie and Virginia, and her parents:
“My mom would’ve loved this so much but my dad was obsessed with television… he loved television and movies and all entertainment. And early on in my career there was a point where I had no money left at all I was down to two weeks to live. To actually live. To support myself. And I called my dad up and he said ‘CC, you need to come home.'”
Courteney explains that her dad wanted her to go back to Alabama to sell swimming pools because her sales skills were so good. But fate took over: “The next day, I got the part in Family Ties. I know he’s really proud of me and it does look like I’m here to stay.”
During the ceremony Jennifer and Lisa shared some beautiful words about their friend:
“She’s never one to toot her own horn, ever…but that’s why this is such a beautiful day. That we get to all be here together as her friends. Support her accomplishments, which is so well deserved,” Jen said.

“And Courteney we just want to say we are deeply, deeply proud to know you. You are the definition of a truly beautiful talented and what’s most important, a truly good and decent human being. Thank you for enriching our lives personally,” added Lisa.
The trio – who were all in tears at this point – hugged each other before posing for photos in front of Courteney’s star – the 2750th to be placed on the famous boulevard.
