Country music icon, philanthropist and entrepreneur Dolly Parton can add another epic achievement to her long list – she’s officially a best-selling fiction author!
Run, Rose, Run, the debut mystery novel from Dolly and her long-time friend, A-list author James Patterson, was released just a couple of weeks ago. This week, it’s reached the top spot on the New York Times best-selling list in the fiction print and e-book categories.
In a post on Instagram, Dolly shared how delighted she is with the news:

“Writing a book with my buddy, @JP_Books, was a dream come true. Having it become a New York Times best seller is more than I ever dreamed of. Just goes to show you if you reach for the stars… you might catch one or two.”
If you’re wondering what the book is about exactly, let me tell you, it is quite the suspenseful thriller! It follows the story of AnnieLee Keyes, an aspiring singer-songwriter who leaves the dark underbelly of Nashville and finds herself on the run. You can check it out HERE.
Dolly’s last book Songteller, which celebrated her remarkable life and career in the country music industry, also made the best-seller list in the non-fiction category.
