Ed Sheeran Marks 10 Years Since Release of “The A Team”

It’s been 10 years since Ed Sheeran released “The A Team,” the song he wrote after volunteering at a homeless shelter that launched his global career and made the world fall in love with a voice like no other.

The superstar has shared a clip from the video on Instagram – as well as his gratitude for how far he’s come:

“It’s the 10th anniversary of the A Team’s official release this weekend,” he begins.

“I wrote the A Team back in 2009 when I was 18 years old. It was the song that led me to my first record deal and eventually became my first single, and broke me globally,” Ed recalls.

“It’s mental how a song I wrote at a student bedsit at Guildford in my teens has travelled so far around the world and made all of my dreams come true, and then some.”
