Keanu Reeves is among a group of humanitarians, philanthropists, entertainers and changemakers who’ve been inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame!
The Hollywood star who was born in Beirut, Lebanon and grew up in Toronto was honoured at a ceremony held in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley (not Canada, but the ceremony will air on Friday, December 17 at 8/9 pm MT on @CTV).
He attended with his long-time Matrix co-star Carrie-Anne Moss.
“Keanu Reeves is an iconic actor, producer, and director who has entertained audiences worldwide for more than three decades,” reads a statement from the Walk of Fame.
“This year’s class of outstanding Canadians are recognised not only for their distinctive accomplishments and successes but for their philanthropy, advocacy and contributions toward the greater good.”
Other inductees included professional wrestler Bret “The Hitman” Hart, entrepreneur Dr Ajay Virmani, singer-songwriter Bruce Cockburn and Olympian Damian Warner.
Keanu already has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame which he received in 2005.
He’s currently gearing up for the release of his latest Matrix movie, Matrix Resurrections. He’s also released his own comic books this year called BRZRKR, and will star in the Netflix adaptation of the series.
