Macaulay Culkin has received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
The actor, who burst onto our screens as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone when he was just 9 years old, was surrounded by family, friends and his Home Alone “mum”, actor Catherine O’Hara at his ceremony.
“The reason families all over the world can’t let a year go by without watching and loving ‘Home Alone’ together is because of Macaulay Culkin,” Catherine said.
“I know you worked really hard, I know you did, but you made acting look like the most natural thing in the world to do. It really was as if people ambushed the home of this real little boy named Kevin and he went along with it, just for the fun of it.”
Now, 42, Macaulay reflected on the many people who stuck by him for decades including his lawyer who he’s had since he was 10! He also shared the most loving words for his fiancée, actor Brenda Song, who also grew up in the industry at a young age.
“Brenda. You are absolutely everything. You’re my champion. You’re the only person happier for me today than I am,” he said through tears.
“You’re not only the best woman I’ve ever known, you’re the best person I’ve ever known. You’ve given me, just all my purpose. You’ve given me family.”
