Yes, our favourite actor, businessman, philanthropist and Tweeter Ryan Reynolds has received the Icon Award at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards and his speech was a beautiful tribute to those who mean the most to him…
And I mean, really beautiful. Like, you’re going to need tissues for this one.
The Spirited actor began by sharing his gratitude list which he said, “starts with my family and it ends with my family.”
Ryan not only gave a shoutout to his mum Tammy Reynolds, his brothers, Jeff, Patrick and Terry but also his late dad, James, who passed away in 2015.
“Boy, if he could see all the things going on, he wouldn’t be impressed with this stuff. He’d be the most blown away by his three little granddaughters.”

Ryan then went on to share words of love for the fellow superstar in his life, Blake Lively, who is pregnant with their fourth child.
“Blake and my girls, you are quite literally my heart, my hope, my happiness. I joke that my family exhausts me, but in reality you give me more strength than any man could possibly deserve.”
Previous recipients of the People’s Icon Award include Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry and Jennifer Aniston.
