Ryan Reynolds will be recognised for the joy he brings to the world when he receives the 2023 Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award.
The honour from Bring Change to Mind, a mental health nonprofit co-founded by Hollywood legend Glenn Close, will be awarded to the actor, director and all ’round awesome human at the organisation’s 11th annual Revels & Revelations fundraiser on October 9. The event aims to support mental health programs and resources for teenagers across the U.S.
Robin’s children Zak, Zelda and Cody will be there to give Ryan his award, in memory of their father who passed away in 2014.

“I am looking forward to a spectacular evening and am grateful for the generosity of my fellow artists who will gather to honour Ryan Reynolds and to inspire what I hope will be a record-breaking evening to sustain and create vital Bring Change to Mind Clubs throughout this country,” Ms. Close shared in a statement with The Hollywood Reporter.
Previous recipients of the award include Ben Stiller, Billy Crystal, Melissa McCarthy, Whoopi Goldberg, the Smith family and, Dan and Eugene Levy.
The event will also feature a number of A-list stars including comedian Amy Schumer and country music star Reba McEntire.
Bring Change to Mind was founded in 2010 with the aim of eradicating the stigma around mental health and empowering people to have health conversations.
