Sarah Levy Celebrates Dad Eugene Levy at his Walk of Fame Ceremony

Sarah Levy spent the day celebrating her dad, Emmy-winning actor, producer and comedian Eugene Levy, as he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Taking to the podium, Sarah spoke of Eugene’s love of the industry and his unwavering dedication to acting. She also recalled some great advice he used to giver her and brother, Dan Levy, as children:

“He’s given  a lot of great advice over the years but there’s one phrase that’s stuck with me, that makes more and more sense as I get older: Put the blinders on.”

Sarah, who co-starred alongside her dad in Schitt’s Creek said that as a teenager, she found his words “annoying” and it’s only now as an adult that she truly appreciates what he means:

“How important it is to zero in on what you’re trying to accomplish and cast aside anything that might not be serving you in the moment, so you can get the job done. Whatever that job may be. Drown out the background noise.”

Sarah went on to say she is “in awe” of her dad’s 50-plus year career and all that he has accomplished along the way, which he managed to do by, you guessed it – putting the blinders on!

“Watching him work reminds me that even if perfection isn’t possible, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t strive for it.”
