Taylor Swift just won her 13th GRAMMY award and announced a new album!
The superstar, who was up against Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo and Ed Sheeran, took home Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights.
Speaking on stage dressed in a spectacular white gown with elbow-length black gloves and a choker necklace with a clockface, Taylor surprised fans when she didn’t mention Reputation (Taylor’s Version) as her new album – which Swifties know, has been all the talk lately. Instead, Taylor announced something totally unexpected: her 11th studio album!
“Okay, this is my 13th GRAMMY, which is my lucky number. I don’t know if I’ve ever told you that,” she joked.
“I want to say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way. But I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of tha passion of the fans. So I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out April 19th. It’s called ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.”
She added, “I’m going to go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you, I Love you! Thank you!”

And she certainly kept her word. Right after her win, the official Taylor Swift Instagram page was updated with a photo of the new album’s cover along with the caption, “All’s fair in love and poetry…New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. Out April 19.”
She also shared a handwritten note which reads: “And so I enter into evidence / My tarnished coat of arms / My muses, acquired like bruises / My talismans and charms / The tick, tick, tick of love bombs / My veins of pitch black ink / All’s fair in love and poetry…”
And signed it off, “The Chairman of the Tortured Poets Department.”
