Taylor Swift superfan, Bilal Jhandir, has earned himself a Guinness World Record!
The 20-year-old from Pakistan named the most number of Taylor Swift songs, identified only by their lyrics, in under one minute. During the event, he was blindfolded while the lyrics from some of Taylor’s biggest hits were read out to him. Bilal managed to name 34 songs in total from ‘Lavender Haze’ to ‘Ours’ and ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’, breaking a previous record of 27 held by Dan Simpson from the UK.
“I’m a fan of Taylor Swift since the age of 13,” he tells CelebrityKind News. “I listen to her so much that I know each lyric of all her songs.”
And yes, he sometimes even recites her lyrics out loud, while he’s sleeping!

According to the Guinness World Records, Taylor’s 50 best-selling songs were compiled into a list in random order and none of her accompanying music was played during Bilal’s record attempt.
He tells the platform the thing he loves most about Taylor “is her way of writing out-of-this-world songs” that he feels connected with.

“The authenticity in her songwriting, the emotional depth in her lyrics, and her ability to connect with listeners on a personal level are all the things that I admire most about Taylor Swift.”
Fun fact: this is not Bilal’s first Guinness World Record! He’s won two others as well. In 2021, he broke the record for the most number of animals identified from animal sounds in one minute (23!). And in 2023, he broke the record for the most Justin Bieber songs identified by lyrics in one minute (29!).
Bilal can now say he has something in common with Taylor who has multiple Guinness World Records of her own. The superstar holds the records for Most Top 10 hits on the US Hot 100 (female), Most Global Recording Artist of the Year awards won, Highest annual earnings for a musician (female, 2023), Youngest solo winner of the BRIT’s Global Icon award, Greatest seismic activity caused by a music concert, Most Grammy nominations for Album of the Year and plenty more!
