A heart-warming Christmas card from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has been shared through Mayhewa U.K. based animal charity of which Duchess Meghan is a Patron.

Heart-warming, because we get to see the whole family, dogs and all, in illustrated-form….

And heart-warming because the charity shared a special message from the Duchess herself, about the various causes she and Prince Harry are supporting over the holidays:

“This year, we as a family have made donations to several charities with you in mind. From a local California organisation that helps families transition out of homelessness, to two of our U.K. patronages: one that supports animal and community welfare and the other, a memorial fund for a cherished friend that helps to educate children and fight poverty in Uganda, we have honoured their work on behalf of all of us.”

Mayhew CEO Caroline Yates confirms the Duke and Duchess made a donation to her organisation and adds that it’s an honour to have the Duchess as a Patron:

“She has shone a huge light on our community-based animal welfare work over the last two years. We were especially honoured to recently receive a personal donation from the Duke and Duchess which will enable us to help even more cats, dogs and pet owners in need over this tough winter period.”

Some of the incredible work Mayhew has been doing this year alone includes providing care packages to pet owners during the pandemic, offering veterinary care and developing a ‘Therapaws” program to spread some joy in nursing homes and hospitals.

On their Instagram page, the organisation writes: “From all of us at Mayhew, two and four-legged, thank you and Merry Christmas.”
