Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed she’s now mum to Carrie Bradshaw’s kitten, Shoe!
The And Just Like That star shared the adorable news in an Instagram post today, along with a series of photos of her furry friend.
“His off-camera name is Lotus. He and his siblings were all given botanical names when they were rescued as newborns by the @cthumanesociety.” she begins.
“Adopted officially by the Parker/Broderick family in April 2023. He joins Rémy and Smila who we adopted in May 2022. If he looks familiar, that’s because he is.”

The Connecticut Humane Society from where Lotus was adopted, also shared a sweet message about him appearing on the series:
“Some pets get really exciting foster homes while they’re here at the Connecticut Humane Society. Little Lotus got to be on the set of And Just Like That with @SarahJessicaParker in Manhattan! Did you see his adorable debut? And #spoileralert, Lotus likes the spotlight so much, he’s decided to stay on the show!”
You might remember, Carrie adopted Shoe after Che Diaz (played by Sara Ramirez) brought the kitten to her apartment in the season 2 finale of And Just Like That, which also featured the highly-anticipated return of Samantha Jones (played by Kim Cattrall).
Much to the delight of fans, it was recently confirmed the show would be returning for a third season. In a short clip posted on the series’ official social media pages, we see Carrie sitting at a table saying, “if it just feels right, and it does, then why slow it down?”, followed by the words “We’re Coming Back For Season 3!”
