The Hollywood star and dad of one has announced he’s written a children’s book – and it’s full of “sparkly, rainbow-y” things!
“I ended up accidentally locking myself in my 7 year old daughter’s room. And I ended up finding my inner child,” he writes on Instagram, sharing a cheeky photo of himself wearing fairy wings.
“So this is what I created for my little girl. From what is, I guess, the little girl in me.”
“The One and Only Sparkella” by Channing Tatum
The book is called The One and Only Sparkella (published by Feiwel & Friends) and it’s about young Ella who tries to dull down her love of sparkly things so kids won’t make fun of her at school. With a little help from her dad, she learns the importance of being herself, no matter what others say.
And if you’re not already melting, just wait until you read the dedication Channing’s written for his daughter.
According to People.com, it reads:
“To Everly, the most brilliant magical being that I have ever known. You are my greatest teacher. My only wish is for more time in this life to play in all of the magical realms we have created.
“This is also for all Dads that might have a little girl….Wear whatever, dance however, and be as magical as you can. Because I promise they will return the love.”
