Idris Elba is following in the footsteps of Channing Tatum and Natalie Portman.
The actor is the latest Hollywood celebrity to announce he’s scored a children’s book deal and much like Channing and Natalie who both published books last year inspired by their kids, Idris is doing the same.
In a statement, he credits his 19-year-old daughter, Isan, with motivating this new project:
“I feel privileged to have the opportunity to bring stories inspired by my daughter to life with my incredible writing partner Robyn Charteris, and the powerhouse team at HarperCollins.”
According to publisher HarperCollins, we can expect a range of both picture books and fiction that will be released across the world next year.
In the meantime, you can check out Channing Tatum’s book “The One and Only Sparkella”, inspired by daughter Everly, HERE.
And Natalie Portman’s “Fables”, inspired by daughter Amalia, HERE.
