Malala Yousafzai has a new project in the works!
The Nobel laureate, world renowned education activist and Taliban shooting survivor has announced she’s currently working on another memoir. In a post on social media, Malala shares what we can expect:
“The last few years of my life have been marked by extraordinary transformation – finding independence, partnership and, ultimately, myself. This will be my most personal book yet and I can’t wait for you to read it.”
She adds that this October marks a decade since her last book, I Am Malala was published – when she was just 16!
“I am excited to share what has happened since and take the next step in my journey with the incredible teams at Atria Books in the U.S., WNBooks in the U.K., and more countries coming soon.”
Since then, Malala has graduated from Oxford, established her own production company (Extracurricular) and secured deals with Apple TV+, served as executive producer for Stranger at the Gate and Joyland, and married Asser Malik, an executive with the Pakistan Cricket Board. All this in addition to her humanitarian work and activism of course.
According to Atria Books, Malala’s new memoir will be a “breathtaking story of recovery and search for identity, a candid exploration of her coming-of-age in the public spotlight, and an intimate look at her life today.”
No title or expected release date has been shared just yet.
Malala is also the author of a number of a number of books for children and young adults including We Are Displaced: My Journey & Stories From Refugee Girls Around the World…
