Penguin Random House has announced Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex is writing a memoir.
According to the publisher, it will be “an intimate and heartfelt” account of Prince Harry’s “experiences, adventures, losses and life lessons that have helped shape him,” covering everything from growing up in the public eye to his time with the military and his experience in being a husband and father.
In a statement shared on the Archewell Foundation’s website, Prince Harry says, “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as a man I have become. I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”
He continues,”I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”
The proceeds of the book will be donated to charity although there is no word yet on which one of the many causes Prince Harry supports will benefit.
It’s due out in late 2022.
