Prince Harry’s Memoir to Explore the “Power of Love Over Grief” – Due Out in January

Prince Harry’s highly anticipated memoir, Spare, has an official release date!

Publisher Penguin Random House has announced we can get our hands on the book which explores “the eternal power of love over grief” on January 10. They’ve also shared the striking cover, which features the Duke of Sussex staring directly into the camera:

“It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow – and horror,” the official description reads.

“As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling – and how their lives would play out from that point on. For Harry, this is that story at last.”

Prince Harry has chosen to donate the proceeds from Spare to two charities close to his heart – Sentebale, an organisation he founded with Prince Seeiso in their mothers’ legacies, which supports vulnerable people in Lesotho and Botswana affected by HIV/AIDS, and nonprofit WellChild, which allows kids with complex health needs to be cared for at home instead of hospital.

“Penguin Random House is honoured to be publishing Prince Harry’s candid and emotionally powerful story for readers everywhere,” the publisher’s Global CEO Markus Dohle says.

“He shares a remarkably moving personal journey from trauma to healing, one that speaks to the power of love and will inspire and encourage millions of people around the world.”
