What do you do when you’re a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and a Global Brand Ambassador for one of the biggest shoe companies in the world?

Make them join forces of course!

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who was recently announced as the face of Crocs upcoming “Come As You Are” campaign, has announced a collaboration between the shoe company and UNICEF to help thousands of underprivileged kids in Central America.

25,000 pairs of Crocs have already been donated to children in Belize and over the next year, another 25,000 pairs will be donated too.

“Working with Crocs to distribute more than 50,000 pairs of their Classic Clogs will have a tremendous impact on school-age children in Belize,” Priyanka said in a statement, “reducing barriers to education and easing social and peer-related stressors that come with not having basic everyday resources that many take for granted.”

According to UNICEF, there are many reasons why children don’t attend school in Belize – and not having shoes to wear in class or to walk to school in, is a major factor.

Priyanka, UNICEF and Crocs are helping to remove this barrier in the hope that thousands of children will be able to live to their fullest potential.
