Jack Johnson is hoping we’ll all join him in ditching plastic for the month of July – and beyond.

The singer and environmentalist has posted a catchy tune on his socials supporting Plastic Free July.

“Single use plastic, it’s not so fantastic, we use it for a minute or two,” he begins.

“Then it sits around for a few thousands years, or even more,” he adds before urging his audience to take reusable bags to the store and ditch plastic water bottles.

“Give the kids a chance!” he sings, reminding us all that going plastic-free is about protecting the planet for future generations.

Johnson has been committed to reducing plastic waste at his concerts, using renewable energy at his recording studios and takes part in regular tree-planting and beach cleanups.

Listen to the fun tune below – and don’t forget to ditch the single-use plastic!
