Hollywood star Zac Efron has teamed up with wellness expert Darin Olien for a new Netflix series about how we can all live more sustainably – and it looks really good.
They travel together to some pretty spectacular places including France, London, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Iceland and more – all filmed before COVID-19 restrictions of course – to meet eco-innovators.

“Ok, we are travelling around the world to find some new perspectives on some very old problems,” the actor says in the trailer.
“We need to start re-thinking how we consume everything from our food to our power.”
From exploring geothermal energy to beekeeping, to cutting down exotic fruit with a machete and eating dung-infused delicacies, Zac does it all – wide-eyed and enthusiastic, most of the time.

“Change has to start somewhere,” Zac says. “Maybe it’s time we all changed.”

Zac is also set to appear in a new show on Quibi called Killing Zac Efron, where he and his brother travel through the jungle of a remote island and attempt to survive without food, water or technology for a few days.
Down to Earth with Zac Efron debuts July 10 on Netflix.
