Jennifer Coolidge Thanks Ariana Grande For Reviving Her Career

Jennifer Coolidge is full of gratitude for Ariana Grande!

The White Lotus actor is thanking the singer for helping boost her career which she believes was “flatlining” for a while there…

Chatting during Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainers of the Year issue, Jennifer, who famously played Stifler’s mother in the American Pie movies of the late 90s and early 2000s as well as ‘bend-and-snap’ queen Paulette in Legally Blonde, says things changed for her when Ariana asked her to be in the ‘Thank U, Next’ video.

“I mean, from there I got Promising Young Woman, and this whole thing,” she tells Ariana, referring to her stand-out role as heiress Tanya Mcquoid in The White Lotus.

“You were sort of the instigator. I really believe that. I think if you hadn’t put me in ‘Thank U, Next’… I don’t think I would be here where I am.”

Of course, Ariana was having none of it: “That is absolutely the most untrue thing I’ve ever heard in my life!”

“No, I really think that!” Jennifer insisted. “And I think it’s pretty cool. I was kind of flatlining, and you got things going for me. I just want to thank you. I know you’re a very humble person, you wouldn’t admit to it, But I’m just going to thank you.”

Jennifer and Ariana also chat about her favourite movie roles, her favourite one-liners, the actor who’s made her laugh the hardest on set and more. Check out their hilarious interview HERE.
