Gisele Bündchen Shares Her Love of Astrology

When it comes to high fashion, beauty and success, renowned Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen certainly stands out. For decades, she’s dominated runways, graced international magazine covers and become the face of some of the world’s most iconic brands. Like so many successful women, a large part of her journey to the top comes down to decision-making and for Gisele, it seems astrology plays a major role!

Speaking at the Watches & Wonders fair in Geneva, Switzerland, the supermodel and IWC Schaffhausen Brand Amabassador said she often relies on the moon to guide her:

“I’m all about the moon. You know, I love astrology so, I’m a cancer sign that’s ruled by the moon. I learned from my grandmother the phases of the moon since I was a little kid,” she said.

“You grow food at certain times of the moon like the crescent moon. I cut my hair at the crescent moon.”

Gisele, who is also a mother of two, explained that in addition to astrology guiding her decisions, she also tends to be cautious about the information she reveals about her decisions.

“You know what I learned in my life? The things that you love and are precious to you, you don’t talk about it and then once they’re done, people can see it. I have a few of those. First I’ll make them happen and then I’ll tell you.”

Gisele’s visit to the fair in Geneva comes just a few months after she joined IQC at Art Basel Miami for an intimate conversation about time and style. During her attendance, she shared how she manages her busy schedule yet still chooses to prioritise both “me time” and “family time”:

“The most important thing for me is to start my day right. I feel the way you start sets the energy for your entire day. If you wake up late with the alarm ringing and running late, you feel like you need to catch up for the rest of the day. So, I’m very mindful of the time I wake up,” she said, adding that “just like you recharge your phone at night, you have to recharge yourself. I’m making sure I have enough sleep. I go to bed at 10pm because I wake up at 5am. I get up before sunrise, and I like to have time to meditate, do some yoga, walk my dog and prepare breakfast for the kids. I like to do everything in peace, and when everything is calm and quiet. That’s how I fill up my cup so I am able to give more.”
