Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness have announced their separation after 27 years of marriage.
In a statement exclusively shared with People, the actors write:
“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
They ended their statement, “Deb and Hugh Jackman” and, “This is the sole statement either of us will make.”
Deborra-lee and Hugh tied the knot in 1996 after meeting on the set of Australian TV series Corelli a year earlier. They share two children together, 23-year-old Oscar and 18-year-old Ava.

As always, CelebrityKind will be respecting their privacy. You won’t see any further stories here about their divorce unless they specifically share something themselves (which, at this point, they don’t intend to because, as mentioned above, this is the “sole statement” they’re making).
