Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef are ending their marriage.
The superstar and artist, who’ve been married for 6 years, shared a joint statement on their social media accounts announcing the news:
“For some time, we have considered transforming our relationship, and it is after careful consideration we have decided to end our marriage with love, respect, and dignity for our children – preserving and honouring what we have experienced as a couple all of these wonderful years.”
Their message continues, “Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centred on our genuine friendship as we continue the joint upbringing of our children. As always, we thank you for all the love and support we received throughout our marriage. We are united in nurturing this new chapter of our lives.”

The ex-couple first went public with their relationship in 2016 when they attended an amFAR Inspiration Gala together. They announced their engagement soon after and tied the knot in 2018.
Ricky and Jwan share two kids, 5-year-old daughter Lucia and 4-year-old son Renn. Ricky also previously welcomed twins Matteo and Valentino who are teenagers now.
Both men are highly accomplished in their fields – Jwan, who has Syrian-Swedish background, has won numerous awards for his artworks including the Beers Contemporary Award for Emerging Art in London in 2013, whilst Ricky, a Puerto Rican singer who is behind hits “Livin’ La Vida Loca” and the 1998 FIFA World Cup Song, “La Copa De La Vida”, is currently venturing into the acting world. He’s set to star in Apple TV+’s comedy Palm Royale opposite Kristen Wiig, Allison Janney and Laura Dern.
