You may’ve heard Halsey has been in and out of hospital over the last few weeks – and today the singer is sharing an update about what’s been going on.
In a story posted for their 29.3 million followers on Instagram, Halsey – wearing a heart monitor – explains that they’ve struggled with health issues through most of adulthood, but particularly since giving birth to son, Ender. Now, doctors have diagnosed her with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjorgen’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
“I’m still looking for the root cause of some of these things. It could potentially be another type of auto-immune disease, and I’ve known about auto-immune issues for most of my life, especially having endometriosis. But it’s kind of been exacerbated since I had Ender.”

Urging fans not to worry, Halsey says she’s on a treatment plan and will continue rehearsing for her upcoming tour which they hope to carry out “in a way that’s healthy.”
“Feeling like my body is rebelling against me a little bit. That started with my experience being pregnant and has now evolved into something totally beyond pregnancy, beyond postpartum. I have a lot of angst and I have a lot of energy, and I have a lot of confusion that I want to get out on that stage. And hopefully, I’ve built a show that really reflected that and can be a cathartic place for you to release some tension.”
Halsey’s first “Love and Power” show will kick off in Palm Beach, Florida next week.
