Michael Bolton Recovering Following Surgery For Brain Tumour

Michael Bolton has undergone surgery for a brain tumour and is now recovering at home.

The beloved singer and GRAMMY-winner took to social media to share the update with fans:

“Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumour, which required immediate surgery. Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success.”

He added, “I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family.”

And while he may be on the mend, the 70-year-old singer revealed he will be taking some time off as he navigates his recovery:

“It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt, I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon. I am beyond grateful for all the love and support you have so generously shown me through the years. Know that I’m keeping your positive messages in my heart, and I’ll give you more updates as soon as I can. Much love always, MB.”

Michael, who rose to fame in the 80s and 90s and has sold over 65 million records worldwide, was due to tour internationally starting in February.

He had a busy 2023, releasing his first album of original music in almost 15 years titled Spark of Light, performing a cover of “Joy to the World” in December for ABC’s Disney Christmas Celebration and appearing in some episodes of Nora From Queens alongside Awkwafina.
