Miley Cyrus has performed a spectacular cover of “Help!” during the Global Citizen “Unite for Our Future” concert.
The superstar stood in the middle of an empty Rose Bowl Stadium (where there’s space for 90,000 people!) and belted out the hit Beatles tune standing on a podium which spelled out the title of the song.
The performance streamed to 180 countries through Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
She dedicated the song to “those who are tirelessly working on testing, treatment and vaccines so all of us can come together in places like this empty stadium again.”
Miley was one of dozens of celebrities taking part in the concert special, hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, to highlight the impact of COVID-19 on marginalised and vulnerable communities.
The event mobilised more than $6.9 billion in pledges for COVID-19 relief from world governments, philanthropists and corporate business partners including Google and Johnson & Johnson.
