Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, actress and entrepreneur Yandy Smith and TV star and activist Tamika Mallory are among dozens of people who’ve been arrested in Louisville, Kentucky at a protest demanding justice for Breonna Taylor.
The trio demonstrated outside the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron urging him to file charges against the three police officers involved in Breonna’s death – the 26-year-old was shot in her sleep more than four months ago after officers served a no-knock warrant at the wrong address.
According to the Louisville Police Department, the protestors were arrested for trespassing on the Attorney General’s property.
“WE IN KENTUCKY TO MAKE SURE YALL KNOW BREONNA TAYLOR’S LIFE MATTERED,” Yandy Smith wrote in a social media post before her arrest.
“We invited ourselves to your house Attorney General @danieljaycameron. Just like the cops did when they murdered her. We don’t plan on letting up until you arrest the cops,” she writes in a separate post.
Rappers Cordae, Trae the Truth and author/activist Linda Sarsour were also among those detained.
