Yep, it’s true. Bruno Mars has a heart of gold. 24 karat gold.
The superstar made a massive donation to the Salvation Army in his home state of Hawaii earlier this month and it’s been used to feed 24,000 people in need over Thanksgiving!

Big Mahalo to @brunomars who is providing 24K #Thanksgiving Holiday meals to Hawaii residents in need through our holiday feeding programs! The gift will allow us to expand our feeding programs to provide an additional 24,000 meals. It is because of such giving that struggling families will have a warm and cheerful holiday together this year.
Last year, he donated $1 million from his Michigan concert to support victims of the Flint water crisis.
In 2014, he donated $100,000 from his Manila concert to children in the Philippines needing medical care after surviving Typhoon Haiyan.
The same year, he announced the Bruno Mars Scholarship Fund to help high-school students break into the music industry through a placement at the Grammy Foundation music camp.
In 2012, he supported his pal Sting in a special concert raising money for Sting’s organisation, the Rainforest Fund, which works to protect rainforests around the world.
Before that, he was one of the 50 global stars involved in the #beafriend campaign helping raise funds for children in Somalia and across East Africa experiencing starvation and extreme poverty.
Honestly, the list is long.
Keep doing your thing Bruno. We love you for it!
