Arnold Schwarzenegger Donates 25 Tiny Homes to Homeless Veterans

After distributing free meals to the homeless veteran community during Thanksgiving, Arnold Schwarzenegger is continuing to help through the holiday season.

The Hollywood star and former Governor of California recently donated 25 “tiny homes” to non-profit Village for Vets, with the structures being put in place by volunteers just before Christmas.

“This holiday season, 25 more veterans have a roof over their head thanks to the generosity of @schwarzenegger,” a post by the organisation reads on Instagram.

The homes ares 64 square feet and contain bedding, plus full heating and air conditioning. There are already more than 75 tiny homes in place, with more to come in response to the areas homelessness crisis.

“Today, I celebrated Christmas early,” Arnie writes in an Instagram post, sharing a photo of himself chatting with a veteran.

“The 25 homes I donated for homeless veterans were installed here in LA. It was fantastic to spend some time with our heroes and welcome them into their new homes.”

Arnie recently encouraged his 22.1 million followers to consider giving back to their own communities any way they can:

In a newsletter sent to his fans, he asks, “do you have an extra blanket at home you can give someone today? An old jacket you aren’t using? A few dollars for a meal? 15 minutes for a human conversation? We all have something to offer. ”
