Bella Hadid is Hosting a “Coat Drive” to Keep More Than 25,000 People Warm Through Winter

Bella Hadid is on a mission to keep thousands of New Yorkers warm through the winter months.

The model has teamed up with two nonprofits, the Bowery Mission, an organisation serving the homeless, and One Warm Coat, an initiative providing free coats to children and adults while promoting environmental sustainability, to host a “coat drive.”

Her aim is “to get thousands of coats into the hands of New Yorkers in the next 2 weeks” and she’s kicking it all off with a $25,000 donation – which will keep at least 25,000 people warm.

“I can’t understand why some people are dealt certain cards in life. No one deserves to feel the depth of what New York winters bring, with nothing to wear and nowhere to go,” Bella shared on Instagram, along with a series of photos of her collecting and packing coats:

She also encouraged her 49.1 million followers to consider making their own coat donation to a local drive.

Bella recently spent some time with the Bowery Mission, meeting with staff, learning more about the work they do and helping pack meals.

“My heroes. You inspire me everyday,” she posted about the nonprofits.
