Beyoncé is honouring the memory of a young fan who passed away last week.

Lyric Chanel, who battled brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma, often shared videos from hospital on her Insta page, singing along to her favourite Beyoncé songs.

Following Lyric’s death, Beyoncé posted a beautiful video montage on her website to celebrate the teenager’s life:

The tribute features photos and videos of Lyric smiling and dancing as Beyoncé sings a medley of “Brown Skin Girl,” “Love on Top” and “Halo.”

“REST IN PEACE LYRIC CHANEL,” Beyoncé captioned the video.

“I love you with all my heart.”

The pair had been in contact in September last year after Lyric survived a fourth operation on her brain. Beyoncé sent Lyric a huge bunch of flowers at the time, along with a sweet note:

“Honey, Honey, I can see the stars all the way from here, I can feel the sun whenever you’re near,” the note reads, referring to the lyrics from “Love On Top.”

“I was so moved to see how these lyrics inspired you, not nearly as much as you inspired me. I can’t wait to meet you one day and I’m so happy you’re home safely. You are a survivor. God bless. B.”
