Brittany & Patrick Mahomes Donate Over $1.6M to Help Kids in Local Communities

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Kansas City Current co-owner Brittany Mahomes, have made a generous donation to help kids thrive in local communities.

The couple’s 15 and the Mahomies Foundation has announced they’re donating US$1.625 million to the Boys & Girls Club of America as part of a multi-year partnership. And the funds will specifically go to communities which have personally impacted Patrick and Brittany’s lives including Greater Kansa City as well as Lubbock, Tyler and Whitehouse in Texas.

“We are truly excited to partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America by investing in the future of children,” Patrick said in a release. “Kids who attend a Club, like Brittany once did, are provided with the necessary tools and resources to help this generation not only thrive but lead with compassion and purpose.”

Brittany added, “This meaningful partnership will expand opportunities for kids everywhere, and the places that have positively impacted Patrick and me. We are committed to doing all we can to uplift others.”

As part of the mega donation, Patrick announced he’ll be giving $1,500 for every touchdown he makes during the regular NFL season – he’s already on eight touchdowns this season and NFL experts are predicting he’ll manage well over 30!

The Mahomes family foundation was started by Patrick in 2019 and, per their website, is dedicated to improving the lives of children by focusing on health, wellness, communities in need of resources and other charitable causes.

Speaking to media ahead of practice on Wednesday, Patrick shared his own experience with the Boys & Girls Club: “It’s something where I remember practicing basketball at Boys & Girls Clubs growing up and how fun that was. It was a great experience. I got to meet people and (had) opportunities to play sports that I loved.”
