Chance the Rapper is praising legendary actor Martin Short for a simple act of kindness he carried out that made life a little easier for The Voice judge and his young daughter.
In a post on Twitter, Chance explains how Martin gave up his seat on a recent flight so 7-year-old Kensli could sit next to her dad:
“So I just got on this plane with my daughter, and found out our seats weren’t next to each other. I really ain’t wanna inconvenience anyone by asking them to swap seats, but before I could say anything this kind older gentleman offered his seat to Kensli so we could sit together.”
And yep, pretty sure you can guess exactly who that kind, older gentleman was!
“We both said thank you and as he stands up, I realise it’s THE Martin Short!! So cool and Kensli freaked out cause she’s obsessed with The Santa Clause 3. What an awesome person!”
He hilariously ends his post,”SHOUTOUT TO JACK FROST.”

In a later tweet, Chance responded to a comment asking whether Martin knew who he was: “Definitely not, which made it way cooler. He just a nice dude ig.”
Saturday Night Live writer Alan Zweibel entered the conversation too, suggesting he wasn’t surprised by his friend’s sweet gesture:
“Typical Marty. One of the kindest, caring people I’ve ever known.”
