Dave Grohl recently spent some time with nonprofit, Hope of the Valley, to cook for more than 450 people experiencing homelessness.
The Foo Fighters frontman hauled his own smoker to the site and prepared a barbecued feast of ribs and brisket.
“We’d like to thank Dave for spreading hope through a hot meal,” a message on the shelter’s official Instagram page reads, along with a series of photos of the superstar in action.

“He was truly dedicated to serving the best meal he could possibly make. His contagious charisma spread through our sites, truly being a light through this harsh winter storm.”
As always, while this is a post about Dave’s kindness, it’s also important to acknowledge the incredible work carried out on a daily basis by the team at Hope of the Valley. Annually, they provide over 1.6 million nutritious meals to people in need, 547,000 nights of safe shelter, showers, medical and mental health referrals and more.
