Actor Daniel Radcliffe isn’t the only one responding to Harry Potter author J.K Rowling’s views on the transgender community.
Fellow Hollywood star Emma Watson is now speaking up too.
“Trans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren’t who they say they are,” she writes on Twitter.
“I want my trans followers to know that I and so many other people around the world see you, respect you and love you for who you are.”

Emma also used the opportunity to highlight the work of two organisations she has donated to, Mermaids and Mama Cash, encouraging her followers to do the same if they can.
Both charities support the rights of transgender youth.
