No parent wants to send their child to school feeling scared and Josh Duhamel is no exception.
While the actor describes himself as a “proud gun owner” in his latest Insta post, he also says he’s a dad – and that’s why he’s getting behind the TOMS campaign to #EndGunViolenceTogether.
In case you missed it, TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie recently appeared on Fallon Tonight and announced a US$5 million donation to organisations in America working to end gun violence. Plus he’s set up a super easy online system where people can send postcards to Congress calling for universal background checks. (Over 600k postcards have been sent so far! See video below.)
Josh, who has a 5-year-old son Axl Jack Duhamel with Fergie, is asking his fans to send those postcards out to their Representatives too. “I’m also a father to a young son.” he says, “and I don’t want him going to school scared.”
Josh says he’s part of the 90% of Americans who agree that gun owners should have universal background checks.
