Author Glennon Doyle and soccer legend Abby Wambach (aka one of our favourite couples on the planet) are once again turning collective heartbreak into action through their Together Rising foundation.
Just days after committing $250,000 for urgent relief in Ukraine following Vladimir Putin’s Russian-led invasion of the country, the foundation has raised over $1,000,000 from Glennon and Abby’s kind-hearted community of followers, which will also go towards supporting the people of Ukraine.

So far, $150,000 worth of funds have been used to purchase medical supplies and food as well as provide medical and psychological support to families impacted by the violence.
“Thousands of Ukrainians turned refugees overnight, left the only home they’ve ever known to try to escape to bordering countries,” a message on Together Rising’s social media page reads.
“We stand with every Ukrainian and all those devastated by this unprovoked, terrifying and reprehensible war, the impacts of which are reverberating throughout the world.”
In a follow-up message, Glennon, Abby and the Together Rising team thanked their community for showing up with donations: “More than 13,000 of you donated an incredible $1,003,617.38.”
“Today, we stand with and invest in Ukrainians and all those impacted by Russia’s invasion, just as we stood with and invested in Afghans, Palestinians, Syrian refugees and Central American migrants.”
