Rap star, actor, entrepreneur and philanthropist Jaden Smith has been quietly helping out the homeless in Los Angeles this week.
According to a message on Instagram shared by non-profit, the Los Angeles Mission, the 22-year-old teamed up with shoe giant, New Balance, to donate 300 pairs of sneakers to the organisation.
“A huge thank you to our friends @c.syresmith @newbalance for the donation!” the post reads.
“300 pairs of shoes and food were given out on Skid Row this past week!”
And while Jaden wasn’t there to distribute the shoes himself, there were plenty of volunteers who did help out.

The young star who already has a line of vegan-friendly sneakers with New Balance, is all about finding ways to give back to communities in need.
In 2019, he launched his “I Love You” food trucks which serve healthy, vegan meals to the homeless for free.
More recently he shared that he would be opening a restaurant of the same name with a similar mission.
He’s also working on reducing plastic pollution in our oceans with his plant-based JUST water cartons and he helped create a portable water filtration system so areas in need of clean water (like Flint) can gain easy access.
Did I mention he’s only 22?
