Chris Hemsworth has posted a special message on social media for a young Avengers fan battling cancer, describing him as an “inspiration” and a “real superhero”.
And he couldn’t be more right.
3-year-old Kaleo Samuel Collier was sent home from school with a fever in October last year. For 4 weeks, he was in and out of hospital, before doctors diagnosed him with Neuroblastoma, a malignant tumour made of nerve cells found most commonly in the adrenal glands, near the kidneys.
Since then he’s battled through chemotherapy, and major surgery to remove 90% of the tumour in his tummy.
In a video message, Chris says “I just wanted to give a big shout out to Kaleo. I hear you’re an Avengers fan, mate and I just want to say from all the Avengers, we’re a big fan of yours pal. You’re an inspiration. You’re our hero.”

Kaleo’s parents, Tiara and Drew, have taken a lot of time off work to support their beautiful boy. They not only have a mortgage to pay but are also faced with lots of medical expenses, so their lovely friend Melody Prince has set up a GoFundMe page to help them out. If you’d like to help too, please check out www.kaleostrong.com for more information.
Stay strong Kaleo!
