Levi McConaughey, the teenage son of Hollywood couple Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey, has joined social media for the very first time – and the internet is embracing him with welcoming words and wholesome advice!
You see, on July 7, Levi turned 15 and as a gift to him, his parents gave him the green light to sign up to Instagram:
“Happy birthday Levi Alves McConaughey,” Matthew said in a video posted to his own page. “We are allowing you, Levi, today, on your 15th birthday, to join the social media universe.”
“We’ve been talking about this for a long time, preparing for it, talking about it for three years now.” Camila shared, admitting she felt a little “nervous” about it all.
But they both ultimately agreed that Levi “knows who he is” and “knows where he’s going.”
Matthew added, “I want to let all of y’all know you’re getting a very cool and respectful young man. Levi McConaughey, coming at you, and I hope you can all do your best to treat him the same way.”
Just hours later, Levi posted his very first reel with photos and videos of his family life and interests including surfing, snowboarding and cycling. And boy, did the internet respond in the loveliest way!

“Happy Birthday Buddy.. keep your parents close and you can’t go wrong,” one of his new 130,000 followers wrote. “Always think about your choices and there’s absolutely nothing wrong or worrying about getting a 2nd opinion. Let no one dull your shine!”
“Welcome to social media, young sir,” another posted. “Listen to your parents Levi, your father and mother are both wise and seasoned people. You already seem like a well-mannered young man! Keep livin’ is right! Looking forward to more content.”
Another shared,”Welcome to the social media world Levi, happy birthday to you! Just remember most of this stuff is just for the ‘gram’ as some people may call it. Always stay true to the authentic YOU, don’t allow the people on this platform to get to you, unless of course it’s in a positive way. Enjoy all life’s greatest gifts.”
