Ludacris Surprises High School with $75k Worth of Musical Instruments

As you can imagine, there were cheers all ’round when Ludacris rocked up to Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School last month.

And that wasn’t even the real surprise!

The rap star and actor was actually there to deliver US $75,000 worth of musical instruments and equipment to the kids too!

His organisation, The Ludacris Foundation teamed up with live ticketing distributor StubHub and Mr Holland’s Opus Foundation to donate the goods.

“I have to pay it forward, man,” Ludacris told reporters. “I always have to lead by example.”

According to Kevin Segura, the school’s band director, the music department had undergone funding cuts so Ludacris’ donation will have a huge impact on music programs within the school.
