Luke Perry’s Kids Proud of Dad’s Final Film, “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood”

Luke Perry’s children, Sophie and Jack, are lovingly remembering their dad today as the stars of “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood” walk the red carpet for the film’s world premiere. The Quentin Tarantino flick was the last movie the 90210 actor filmed before his sudden death from a stroke earlier this year.

In an Insta post, Jack Perry shares a video of himself sitting on top of a billboard featuring his dad’s character, Scott Lancer.  “Big premiere tonight. He deserved this, and I’m very proud of it” he writes in the caption. “A stud in life, and forever after. The best of the best. Love you forever.”

The post caught the attention of a number of 90210 cast mates including Ian Ziering who commented “Such an emotional picture JP. You being in it brings tears to my eyes.”

And if you’re not already in tears like we are over here with Steve Sanders, the message Sophie Perry posted a few hours later will definitely get you going.

She writes,“it both breaks my heart and fills it with pride at the same time, to know that this film, this little point in history, is here.”

Sophie explains how it meant so much to Luke to take part in the movie: “My dad has never been more excited in his life than he was to be part of this. He was like a kid faced with a banana split the size of his head, or a trip to Disneyland, or I don’t even know what.”

It both breaks my heart and fills it with pride at the same time, to know that this film, this little point in history, is here. My dad has never been more excited in his life than he was to be part of this. He was like a kid faced with a banana split the size of his head, or a trip to Disneyland, or I don’t even know what. I guess I imagine that he felt the same way about this project as I did getting off the plane in Malawi, or Jack may have stepping into an AEW ring the first time… I don’t know. And while I wish so greatly that my dad had a million more roles, and projects, and moments of childlike excitement… I am so proud and thankful that this got to be his last. He was proud. He is proud. And I can’t wait for you all to see it. Grab your popcorn, extra butter, and a whole lot of napkins, I’m sure I won’t be the only one sobbing ❤️ and thank you to everyone who worked on this movie for making this dream possible

Sophie ends her caption by explaining how proud she is of her dad: “And while I wish so greatly that my dad had a million more roles, and projects, and moments of childlike excitement… I am so proud and thankful that this got to be his last. He was proud. He is proud. And I can’t wait for you all to see it.”

Once Upon a Time In Hollywood starring Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie will be released in Australia on August 15.
