Madonna has teamed up with her father and winery owner, Silvio AnthonyTony” Ciccone, to release a limited number of “Madonna wines” – and it’s all for a good cause.

You see, for Madonna’s 63rd birthday this year, she asked her friends and fans to consider adopting a bed at the Mercy James Centre in Malawi, a paediatric surgery and intensive care hospital funded by the superstar and named in honour of her daughter, Mercy James.

According to a release shared by Ciccone Vineyards, through the bed adoption system, any sick or injured child that is admitted to the hospital would receive access to “world class specialised care.” So the wines are being released to support the cause further to ensure more children can receive this same care!

The vintage wines, stored from a 2005 release, feature various images of the Queen of Pop on the front label with all net proceeds going to the Raising Malawi Foundation and the Mercy James Centre.

Plus, there’s a little thank you from Madonna herself with every purchase – a signed 4×5 photo of her and her dad on his 90th birthday this year.

The good news is, the wines will be on sale this week and shipping is available through most of the US. The bad news is, we’re not too sure yet how much these collector’s items are going to cost and sadly, there’s no international shipping. But hey, we still dig the cause!
