Meghan Markle is always finding ways to uplift and encourage other women…and this week was no exception!
The Duchess of Sussex recently volunteered to speak with one of the clients at Smart Works, a U.K charity (which she’s been patron of since 2019) that helps women prepare for interviews, find professional clothing and ultimately find jobs.
The Duchess hosted the video call from her home in L.A and offered some lovely words of support and encouragement:
“I just wanted to be able to call in and wish you the best of luck. My fingers are crossed for you,” she said during the chat.
“There’s so much going on in the world right now and to be such a beacon of hope and focusing on getting through it, and all the positivity that we just want to send your way, to make sure you can get on the other side of this too and have such a great opportunity there.”
The woman thanked Meghan saying “that means so much to me.”
“It’s been such an honour to meet and learn from so many talented women in the Smart Works network over the years, and recently to see the amazing work they’re doing to adapt their programs to the reality of this pandemic. pic.twitter.com/5PegGOg7AB
