Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher’s Ukraine Fundraiser Named 2022’s Largest GoFundMe Campaign

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s fundraiser for Ukraine has topped the list of GoFundMe campaigns for 2022.

According to the online giving platform’s annual Year in Help report, over 28 million people either made or received donations this year and over 76,000 of those came together to support Mila and Ashton’s campaign, raising over $37 million.

The funds from “Stand With Ukraine” benefit flexport.org and airbnb.org, organisations chosen by the couple to offer supplies and temporary housing to families displaced by war. They contributed $3 million themselves.

It is the second largest campaign in GoFundMe history – Leonardo DiCaprio and Laurene Powell Jobs’ “Food Fund”, set up during the pandemic to address food insecurity across America, is the largest with over $45 million in donations and still counting.

Other celebrities who contributed to GoFundMe campaigns this year include actors and Wrexham FC owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney who made £10,000 donations each to help a 4-year-old girl with brain cancer in the U.K. and star Kate Winslet who gave £17,000 to a mum in Ireland, to help cover electricity costs for her daughter’s life support.
