Naya Rivera’s Glee co-stars and friends have joined forces once again to honour the late actress during the holiday season.
They’re holding their second annual “Snixxmas” Drive, a party raising funds for Alexandria House. It’s an organisation providing safe housing for women and children leaving emergency shelter that Naya used to volunteer with.
Before her death, Naya actually held an annual “Snixxmas” event at her house where she’d invite all her friends and family so they could celebrate the end of the year. And instead of exchanging presents, she asked her guests to bring along toys for kids in need which she’d pass on to the charity.
Last year – the first time the benefit was held since her passing – the Glee fam raised $117,000.
This year, they’re going bigger. They’re not only holding a livestream event with several Glee cast members including Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Heather Morris and Harry Shum Jr taking part, but they’re also hoping to raise at least $150,000 through GoFundMe.
They’ve raised close to $29,000 so far with the fundraiser running until December 17.
“Christmas is a time of giving – giving your love to others and spending time with friends and family,” Naya’s family writes in a statement posted to the fundraiser.
“Naya did just that, while she spent her time on Earth. Let us continue to be mindful every day, let us continue to give, let us continue to grow and strengthen one another.”
Snixxmas is coming…

Before her sudden death in July last year, Naya commented on what the charity means to her:
“The connection I feel with [Alexandria House] and the people who reside and work there has been the biggest blessing and made such a huge positive impact on myself and my son. We truly have found a home away from home through the time we spend volunteering there.”
Naya lost her life after a boating trip to California’s Lake Piru. Her body was pulled out of the water after a weeks-long search.
