Superstar Rihanna and Twitter boss Jack Dorsey are taking steps to support the Asian community as hate crimes continue to take place not only in the U.S. but all over the world.
The singer’s Clara Lionel Foundation announced on social media they’ve teamed up once again with Jack’s #StartSmall initiative to donate US $3,000,000 to 21 organisations addressing systemic racism, promoting the rights of refugees and serving Asian American and Pacific Islanders of all ages.

“We’re standing with AAPI communities everywhere,” their post reads before listing the beneficiary organisations including Heart Of Dinner who deliver meals to Asian elders in New York City and APIENC.org which supports queer and trans AAPI youth.

Last year, the pair donated $11 million to racial justice causes, $4.2 million to Los Angeles domestic violence shelters during the pandemic and helped cover the cost of 4,000 iPads for students in Rihanna’s home country of Barbados.
What a team, hey?
Besides this collab with Rihanna’s foundation, Jack’s #StartSmall initiative – which is about donating 28% of his wealth or $1 billion of his Square equity – has made over 20 other direct grants to Asian and Pacific Islander-led or serving organisations totalling US$8,800,000.
